The law program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to compete and increase competition in both national and regional labor market and to achieve the necessary success. This objective is to make progress by considering the necessary curriculum, as well as a program that considers the world's leading and national universities. For example, while creating a law program, the curriculum was created by taking into account the opinions of some of the lawyers in the country, by making comparisons in national, regional and international universities on the one hand, and taking into consideration the issues necessary for the functioning of the legal system in the country in a more organized and developed manner.


Program has five specific objectives: They relate to building knowledge and awareness, enhancing critical reflection, developing synthetic, analytical and presentation skills, and building networks:
1. To provide students with a sound understanding of the foundations and socio-legal environment of law and to enable them to develop their analytical and research skills
2. To provide students with a critical understanding and specialized knowledge of a wide range of core courses in law, as well as the opportunity to study law from an extensive catalogue of optional subjects, covering the entire range of legal knowledge
3. To expose students to a wide range of disciplinary approaches to legal study, encouraging them to reflect on the complexity of legal practice and of the variety of ways of understanding law’s role in contemporary society.
4. Build networks among students, organizers and experts, from Flanders, the Global South and North.
5. Critically evaluate actors and processes involved in law and development initiatives in a globalized world, both from an ‘external’ (the transnational actors involved) and an ‘internal’ perspective.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are able to:
1. Understand the basic legal institutions and concepts in various disciplines in theory and practice.
2. Describe Turkish and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus legislation in the field of law, judicial decisions and be informed about relevant scientific opinions.
3. To have knowledge about research, reasoning, analysis and interpretation methods of legal science.
4. Compare, discuss and interpret legal regulations, judicial decisions and scientific opinions with methodological methods.
5. Solve legal problems by using the acquired information.
6. Develop solutions against problems by using legal regulations, judicial decisions and scientific opinions.
7. Take responsibility as a member of the team in order to develop solutions to the problems encountered in law practice by critically evaluating the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of law.
8. Bring methodological solutions to the studies, to explain their opinions in written and verbal.
9. Use at least one foreign language effectively in the professional field.

Students who graduate from law program will be able to take their place easily in sectors that have job opportunities in the field of law after graduation. For example, in Turkey Attorneys, judges, judicial and administrative judges, prosecutors, legal counsel, and professions such as notaries are the first that come to mind emerges as the legal profession in this field can say. In addition to these, they are also entitled to take many exams and professions of individuals who have graduated from the faculties of economics and administrative sciences, political information, economics and similar universities, such as the district governorship, specializations in different public institutions, inspectorates, and also among the legal employment opportunities. There is also a corporate lawyer. In Cyprus, they can have professions such as lawyers, judges, prosecutors, legal counsel, legal counsel, notary. They can also advise companies or individuals by developing themselves in different areas of expertise that have become more popular in recent years. In addition, academic studies and academic staff, which is an area for every undergraduate graduate, can be one of the choices.

HKUK 111- CIVIL LAW I
Civil Law I covers the basic principles of civil law and the law of persons: concept of person and personality in comparative law, real and legal persons (associations, foundations), license of rights, legal process and unjust act, attacks on personality, protection of personality and especially of private life and reputation, name, kinship, settlement, name, personal status register issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 121 – CONSTITUTIONAL LAW I
Constitutional Law I course the following main topics: The concept of constitution, constitutional movements, constituent power, judicial control of the constitutionality of laws, elements of the state, forms of state, theory of separation of powers, government systems, types of democracy, electoral systems and fundamental rights and freedoms will be covered.
HKUK 131 – ROMAN LAW
Political Periods of Roman State: Transfer of Roman Law, Roman Law in the Middle Ages, Status of Roman Law in Medieval Europe, Effects of Roman Law on Modern Laws, Ius (law), Rights (ius) and Litigation (actio), License of Rights, Roman Family and Partia Potestas, Guardianship and Trust, Legal Event, Legal Process, Verb License, Incidental Elements of Legal Treatment, Invalidity of Legal Procedures, contribution of world countries to legal systems will be discussed.
HKUK 141 – INTRODUCTION TO LAW
Introduction to law course has the following course content: Information sources of law, rules of human behavior, some concepts about law, parts of law, judicial organization, legal systems, sources of law, hierarchy of norms, opinions on the basis of law, legalization, types of legal rules, the application of legal rules in terms of place and time, review, various interpretation principles, reasoning in law, the problem of conflict between the rules of law, the judge’s lawfulness and discretion, sanction of legal rules, concept of justice, concept of rights, legal events, acts and transactions, judicial function and body issues will be covered in detail.
ECON 101 MICROECONOMICS
Microeconomics course the following main topics: Economy and economic systems, how people make decisions and how economy works as a whole, demand and supply, shift vs. movement along the curve, price elasticity, applications of supply, demand, and elasticity, consumer and producer surplus, Market efficiency and the standard economic model, budget constraint, optimization and preferences, cost in the short and long run, competitive market, supply curve in competitive market, profit maximization will be covered.
ITEC 101 INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY I
Introduction to Information Technology I covers the following topics: Introduction to word, document presentation,   document productivity, desktop publishing and graphic design, creating and formatting a table, time saving tools, document automation, introduction to powerpoint, presentation development, presentation design, collaboration and distribution, running and navigating a custom slide Show, designating and displaying hidden slides, introduction to excel, managing worksheets, formulas and functions, financial functions, datasets and tables will be covered in detail.

 

ENGL101 ACADEMIC ENGLISH I
Academic English I course covers the following topics: Development of writing and speaking skills, improvement of reading skills, English language structures, lexis, improvement of report connecting critical thinking with language skills, incorporating technologies to improve English learning, introduction to model reporting, finding and searching information sources, references, proposal and outline, introduction and report layout, oral presentation input, abstract and conclusion will be discussed.

 

HKUK 101 – HYPOTHETICAL CASE APPLICATIONS I
In this course: The students practice in their own case by defending and defending them in the form of claim-defense-judgment authorities, as well as in a real court. In this way, they work in the courtroom to strengthen students’ knowledge and self-confidence and to prepare them better for practice.
HKUK 112 – CIVIL LAW II
Civil Law II course covers the following content: the concept of family and the principles that apply in family law, engagement, marriage, general provisions of marriage, abolition of marriage union, lineage, adoption, custody and trusteeship will be included.
HKUK 122 – CONSTITUTIONAL LAW II
Constitutional Law II course covers the following topics: Republican constitutional developments in the Ottoman period, the basic principles of the Republic of Turkey, the system of fundamental rights and freedoms, the basic organs of the state (legislative, executive and judicial) organization and functioning of constitutional jurisdiction.
HKUK 132 – TRNC CONSTITUTIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE LAW
TRNC Constitutional and Administrative Law course covers the following topics; Information and concepts related to the general principles of the TRNC Constitutional Law. The principles governing the TRNC Constitution, the fundamental rights and freedoms regime of the Constitution, the provisions on the legislative and executive organs, the concepts and rules of judicial independence and constitutional jurisdiction. The concepts and basic principles of TRNC administrative law, the emergence, development and characteristics of administrative law, the sources of administrative law, the administrative organization of the TRNC and the concept of administrative action issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 142 – HISTORY OF TURKISH LAW
History of Turkish Law course covers the following topics: Turkish law history courses, old turkish law, Islamic law, constitutional and administrative law, Ottoman people, criminal law, personal law, family law, divorce law, property law, inheritance law, land law, law of obligations, company law, legal compensation improvements will be included.
HKUK 152 – PUBLIC LAW
Public Law course covers the following topics; Political thought in Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire, The State of the middle ages, the east of modern political thought: the monarchies period, liberalism and the parliamentary system, Montesquieu (1688-1755) and separation of powers, liberal democracy and pluralism, economic power – political power relations inside the nation state and globalization, globalization, the case of Turkey, rights and evolution of freedom, rights and protection of freedom, rights and freedoms order in Turkey, a democratic state, a secular state, French rights declaration, the universal Declaration of human rights will be covered in detail.
HIST 102 – HISTORY OF TURKISH REFORMS II
In this course, the history of the Turkish war of independence, the external relations of the period of Atatürk, national sovereignty and principles and revolutions of Ataturk are explained. In this context, especially the political changes and the nationalist movements in the last years of the Ottoman Revolution and the discussions on the struggles of ideas that emerged in the multiparty constitutional system in the Ottoman Empire; The new political environment developed with the establishment of the Republic and the problems experienced there; Ataturk laid down the principles of a dynamic, progressive and problems encountered in the process of institutionalization of state structures have targeted Western civilization and present their reflections in Turkey are examined will be discussed.

HKUK 221 – CRIMINAL LAW I (GENERAL PROVISIONS)
Criminal Law I (General Provisions) course covers the following topics; The function of criminal law and its place in legal order, basic principles of criminal policy, an overview of crime structure (injustice and defect), the subject of insult crime, insults according to type of insult and insult type, spiritual (subjective) elements of typicalism, structure of taxpicious crime – relation of defects, systematics of negligent offenses, typical (unjust) elements of negligent offenses, illegality, situations affecting (eliminating and reducing) defects, influence of will ability due to obligation, enterprise, participation, inclusion will be discussed.

Administration Law I course covers the following topics; Concept of administration, sources of administrative law, Republic of Turkey administrative organization- public legal personality, central administration, provincial organization, local administrations, mayor, special provincial administration, local administration unions, presidential offices, administrative transactions- definition and elements, Reason in administrative transactions major injuries in administrative decisions issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 241 – TRNC CONTRACT LAW
TRNC Contract Law course covers the following topics; Starting Rules, Submission, Acceptance and Cancellation of Tenders, contracts, voidable contracts and invalid agreements, contractual agreements, performance of contracts, specific relationships similar to the relationships created with the contract, the consequences of the violation of the contract, the exact conditions of the contracts, the necessary conditions in the contracts promissory notes, bailment will be discussed.
HKUK 201 – HYPOTHETICAL CASE APPLICATIONS III
In this course, the students practice in their own case by defending and defending them in the form of claim-defense-judgment authorities, as well as in a real court. ENGL 211 – ACADEMIC ENGLISH I
In an Academic English Law I course, students will be able to express themselves in oral and written form by using English in their academic life, and will work on their own and in groups to use English effectively in academic and business life. In this context, specific studies such as reading of English texts, translation studies and contract preparation will be carried out.
HKUK 212- LAW OF OBLIGATIONS II (GENERAL PROVISIONS)

HKUK 232 – ADMINISTRATION LAW II
Administration Law II course covers the following topics: Public personnel law – types of public personnel and comparison with the concept of civil servants, basic principles of civil service, candidate civil servants, prohibitions for civil servants, mutual displacement of civil servants, types of appointment, prosecution of civil servants and other public officials, public service – concept – elements, contracts of administration, public tenders, rejection of all tenders and cancellation of tenders, public goods-expropriation, administrative law and administrative sanctions – types of law enforcement, extraordinary management procedures, financial responsibility of administration issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 242 – TORT LAW
Tort Law course covers the following topics: Right to remedy for unjust acts, limitation of unjust acts against certain persons, state acts, bankruptcies, legal persons, persons under the age of eighteen, persons who are under the age of twelve, liability for acts of persons, agent or the employer are considered within the employer’s information, rules regarding security forces, failure to transfer the liability or right to the unjust act, the matter and the matter special defences, situations in which the publication of the non-material material has absolute privilege, situations where the publication of non-material material has the privilege depending on the condition, damaging lie, deed attack (assault), special litigation defence against attacks deed, gasp, neglect will be discussed.
HKUK 252 – PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW
Public International Law course covers the following topics: Basic characteristics of international law, basic sources of international law, international treaties, personality in international law, country of state, authority of state, international maritime law, air and space law, international human rights law, using force in international law, using force in international law, international armed conflicts law and international humanitarian law, succession of states, state responsibility, united nations issues will be covered in detail.
ENGL 212 – ACADEMIC ENGLISH II
In an Academic English Law I course, students will be able to express themselves in oral and written form by using English in their academic life, and will work on their own and in groups to use English effectively in academic and business life. In this context, specific studies such as reading of English texts, translation studies and contract preparation will be carried out.

HKUK 311 – PROPERTY LAW I

HKUK 321 – LAW OF OBLIGATIONS (PRIVATE PROVISIONS) I
Law of Obligations (Private Provisions) I course covers the following topics: Regulation of private debt relations in Turkish law, joint contracts, mixed contracts, contracts with specific structure, generally sale contract, movable sale contract, real estate sale contract, real estate sale promise – purchase – repurchase – pre-sale contracts, sales agreement on sample, sales agreement under the condition of liking, partial paid sales contract for sale through international auctions, contract for international sale of goods, exchange of goods contract, donation agreement will be covered in detail.
HKUK 331 – CRIMINAL LAW (PRIVATE PROVISIONS) I
Criminal Law (Private Provisions) course covers the following topics: International crimes, crimes against persons, homicide, crimes against body immunity, torture and torture, protection, oversight, violation of the obligation of help or notification, failure to replace obligation of help and notification, child immunity, abortion and neuter, sexual immunity, special forms of crime, crime of sexual intercourse with minors, crimes against liberty, crime of violation of housing immunity will be included.
HKUK 341 – COMMERCIAL LAW I
Commercial Law I course covers the following topics: The subject of commercial law, definition of commercial enterprise, characteristics, transfer of commercial enterprise, commercial business, commercial terms and commercial jurisdiction, merchant, trade registry, trade name, business name and brand, competition and uncompetitive competition, lawsuits due to unfair competition, commercial books, submission and presentation of commercial books, merchant assistants and independent merchant assistants issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 351 – PHILOSOPHY AND SOCIOLOGY OF LAW
Philosophy and Sociology of Law course covers the following topics: The Basis of our modern laws intellectual foundations, law in sociology and philosophy, law as a science, duty of legal science, legal dogmatic as a branch of science, principles science, value theory, trans physics, philosophy of law schools, law thinking problem, social law schools, legal positivism, Kant’s thoughts on the concept of law, compliance of law rules, theory of compliance of law, Hegelianism, sociology in terms of modern science, sociology of law as a branch of positive science, invariants in social life, political variables, prat, sociology of law issues will be discussed.
HKUK 361 – CIVIL PROCEDURE LAW I
Civil Procedure Law I course covers the following topics: Introduction to civil procedure law, human resources in the judiciary, independence and impartiality of the courts, duty and authority of the courts, parties and third parties participating in the proceedings, stages of the case, types of cases, first objections, opening of the case, exchange of petitions and preliminary examination, investigation, proof, verbal trial and provision, remedies, temporary legal protections, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 371 – TRNC COMPANY LAW 
TRNC Company Law course covers the following topics: General information about company law, historical development, partnerships in the TRNC legal system and their classification in various aspects, elements in partnership relationship, establishment of companies and similar subjects, share capital and bonds, obligations and mortgages management and administration directors and other authorities, liquidation, managers, companies established outside the TRNC, booklets, general rules on registration, crime, judicial proceedings issues will be discussed.
HKUK 301 – HYPOTHETICAL CASE APPLICATIONS V
In this course, the students practice in their own case by defending and defending them in the form of claim-defense-judgment authorities, as well as in a real court. In this way, they work in the courtroom to strengthen students’ knowledge and self-confidence and to prepare them better for practice.
HKUK 312 – PROPERTY LAW II
Property Law II course covers the following topics; Possession, function of the possession as legal facts, indirect-direct possession, possession alone, together with the loss of possession, administrative protection of possession, protection of possession as a fact of right, the case of the stone with respect to other cases, unjust liability, the responsibility of the evil unjust issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 322 – LAW OF OBLIGATIONS (PRIVATE PROVISIONS) II
Law of Obligations (Private Provisions) II course covers the following topics: Lease agreement, residential and roofed workplace lease agreements, product (revenue) lease agreement, usage loan agreement, consumption loan agreement, leasing agreement, factoring agreement, financing agreement, factoring agreement loan) contracts, general service contract, marketing contract, home service contract, work (exception) contract, construction contract for land share, contract for land sale (sales promise) revenue sharing construction contract, publication contract, surrogate contract, surety contract issues will be discussed.
HKUK 332 – CRIMINAL LAW (PRIVATE PROVISIONS) II
Criminal Law (Private Provisions) II course covers the following topics: Crimes against honor, crimes against private life and privacy, crimes against property, crimes against public health, crimes against public health, facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants, crimes against public trust, crimes against family order, crimes in the field of informatics, public administration and crimes against its functioning, crimes against the courthouse issues will be covered in detail.
HKUK 342 – COMMERCIAL LAW II
