On behalf of the National Centre for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prof. Hasan Ali Bicak chaired the International Experts Review Team in the institutional accreditation review of the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, during 21-25 May 2017. This was Prof. Bicak’s 3rd University that he reviewed and lsat year he had reviewed another 4 universities in Saudi Arabia. Among the Universities that he reviewed last year was King Fahad University of Petroleum which is ranked within 200 best universities over the world and King Khalid University with 10 campuses and more than 80,000 students.
The University of Business and Technology (UBT) is a private University with 15 undergraduate and an MBA program in its 3 Faculties of Business Administration, Engineering and Information Technology, and Advertisement. The University has two campuses (Jeddah and Dahban) with 5,500 students whose 4,200 are in the undergraduate program and the rest are in the MBA program.
The International Experts Review Team was composed of: Professor Hasan Ali Bıçak, Chair (Rector, Rauf Denktas University – North Cyprus), Professor David Smith (Former Dean, PBAU, USA), Professor David Crick (Professor, University of Ottawa), Professor Nabil Jawdat Sarhan (Associate Professor, Wayne State University, USA), Dr. Sarah Turnbull (Senior Lecturer, University of Portsmouth, UK), Dr. Liza Howe-Walsh (Senior Lecturer, University of Portsmouth, UK).
